No, he did go to Las Vegas to compete. His health is far more important, and it's far from home should he catch Pneumonia. However, thinking he could take on El Paso, he did. He got 1rst Place in Poomse, and 2nd Place in Spar. He said he just drained out, mind you he waited for 6 hrs. to spar, by then he was yawning and got tired. When he was done, he got in the truck and fell asleep instantly and didn't bother waking up until we got home.
Tired little bug. Congrats!
Taeguek Sa Jang (WTF)
His Dojo Friends were sharing their winning grins and Grandson is climbing to his First Place stand in the background. Most of the kids who won were from our Dojo.
I feel for the kid on the bottom right, he looks frustrated. ;(
Grandpa kissed him and asked him if he wanted to stay longer, of course, he wanted to stay.
This was just about how UNorganized these people were, they didn't know who was Second and so on. The boy that's standing next to Grandson lost 2 times and he is still considered 2nd Place. The boy who won 1rst Place is 9 yo Red Belt. He lowered his belt to Green, and lied about his age. So, someone confronted the coach about it, and they were told there's nothing anyone can do about it. They (Mexicans) cross over the border without Birth Certificates. And the person running the tournament said he knew the boy has been wearing Green Belt for the last two years. Now, Grandson is eyeballing him, and said on the next go 'round he'll get him. And where's the rest of the kids? They are missing four more, like I said... they were so UNorganized.
Frederik E. Olsen didn't attend Pan Am Open either, his mom didn't think sparring just three boys justify flying all the way from Denmark. He stayed and attended Germany, and Scotland. Of course, he won both Tourneys.
My ghetto OLD video camera finally had it's day. :(
After this Spar, he had to rest. He said he was so drained.
The next one, he lost. The third.. he had been eyeballing the boy since he saw him and beat him -15-0.
