September

This Blog is suppose to be in his 8 YEAR OLD BLOG.

Rey is 48 1/2 inches.. still little guy with BIG heart.  He still weighs 61lbs, just full of love.  Healthy as healthy can get.  Only one problem, he will not leave his rubberbands alone on his teeth.  Yep, he took them off again, for the millionth time and his ortho is pretty upset.  Do we, or do we not continue this treatment until he is a little bit more older to where he will learn to leave it in place?  We only got to the bracket a few times, but that too he managed to take them off.  Yup, he's the only one..  Anyway, he's still as awesome as ever.

We have not heard from the school, no complaints.  We like it like that, that means he knows how to settle himself down.  Great news!  I thought he would never outgrow that craziness..  He's not crazy, he just has tendency to get over wild and rambunctious.  In a way, that was why we let him be in athletic program because he needs to burn off all those energy positively.  He is very well mannered when he has to.  The marks he shows us from school have nice comments on his papers.  Parent Teacher time is coming up soon.. we'll see how he's doing.

We have been to church on and off, we made friends with some people where Taekwondo is quite essential and there we are, getting Rey the extra training and learning.  We kind of ran off the tracks there, so this weekend he will be back in Sunday School.

Taekwondo:  He's awesome.  20 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, and 1 Bronze.  He spars (fights) with up to 12 year old advance belts, and he takes the beating and keeps going.  Very aggressive youngun, but I don't let him get overly aggressive.  He knows this is a sport, and when it's done, it's done.  Give your respect and move on.  Most of the time, he plays with his competitors afterwards.  He is a Poom Belt now, a Jr. Black Belt.

He is a daredevil.  If you look closely his feet is coming back down from the headshot to the boy with Red Helmet.  They are the only ones with helmet because they give each other headshots and have tendency to get aggressive.

He still goes in the Kiddie Classes to assist, and Adult Class as his regular class.  He's a brave one. :)

This is from the last Tournament in Colorado.  Rey won first places in all of them.
Denver:
Sparring (9 yo Advance Belts) 20-17, 14-6
Poomse, competed against 8 kids

Parker:
Sparring (8 yo Black Belt) 11-0

Since the two boys (Rey and his friend) were the only ones that came from NM and represented the dojo which such awesome manners and they beat everyone in their division they were given a sword to give to their Master for having Outstanding Performance.  Rey's sword is his first place sword for sparring.

I need to get some nice photos of him.. instead of Taekwondo all the time.
